Warnbro Primary School is a Positive Behaviour Support school.
Improving students’ academic and behaviour outcomes is about ensuring all students have access to the most effective instructional and behavioural practices possible. PBS provides an operational framework for achieving these outcomes.
The PBS team incorporates members from all areas of the school and community environment – teaching staff, parents and the Student Voice Team. The Student Voice Team meets weekly to discuss issues or concerns raised by the students. The teaching staff meet once a fortnight and the parents join these meetings twice a term.
PBS works to establish a school environment where appropriate behaviours are the norm. The students receive ‘Splashers’ when they display appropriate behaviour. There is a hierarchy of rewards they earn as they reach set goals.
Our Positive Behaviour Matrix and common language posters are visible in the classrooms and around the school.
